Trazar Corporation: Then and Now

Trazar Corporation, a privately held Silicon Valley company, was founded in 1987 for the design and manufacture of RF Automatic Impedance Matching (AIM) networks for the semiconductor equipment manufacturing industry.

From the beginning, the company achieved a stellar reputation while acquiring multiple awards for its product quality, solid designs and product reliability. With a mean average of over 40 months, Trazar continues to hold the industry’s best “Mean Time Between Failure” (MTBF) for RF AIM Networks.

In 2000, Trazar decided to grow the company and the business expansion began in early 2001. This initial move included the acquisition of a sister company of Trazar. This company became the Trazar-SCM Division and currently provides Specialty Contract Manufacturing of outsourced assemblies to various Silicon Valley high technology companies. Trazar-SCM provides its customers with low to medium volume, high-quality/ high-value electromechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies. Trazar-SCM’s capabilities are structured to support companies in the medical, laser, computer, semiconductor equipment and other high-tech industries.

In 2003, Trazar acquired the “RF service business component”, and the subsequent RF service personnel, of RF Services, Inc., previously a wholly owned subsidiary of Mattson Technology. With this acquisition, Trazar now offers repair services for both Trazar and non-Trazar manufactured AIM Networks and non-Trazar manufactured RF generators.

Also in 2003, Trazar signed a long-term agreement with Metron Technology. Metron’s offers semiconductor Fab sales and service centers, of which selected locations in Europe & Japan are now Trazar Authorized Repair Centers. These service and repair centers have agreed to exclusively use Trazar developed repair Work Instructions and they may only install Trazar’s OEM approved replacement components. The Metron Technology repair centers must be certified by Trazar and must also have their technical personnel certified by completing a Trazar AIM repair & service training course. This training class was developed by Trazar and is offered at the Trazar factory and US headquarters located in Santa Clara, California.

The Trazar Authorized Repair Center (ARC) network includes additional independent repair centers in Taiwan, Singapore, and Mainland China.

Trazar Corporation was ISO certified in 2002, and continues to operate under the latest, ISO 9001:2000 Business Management System.
